Preparation of metal films for surface-assisted laser desorption/ionization mass spectrometry by chemical vapor deposition

Matrix-assisted laser desorption/ionization (MALDI) and surface-assisted laser desorption/ionization (SALDI) has been used for mass spectrometry analysis of biomolecules and polymers. Ability of desorption and ionization on SALDI is dependent on the surface condition, physical properties and metal species of nanomaterials. In this study, we developed metal films for SALDI by mist chemical vapor deposition (CVD).
