Paleoenvironmental Reconstruction Using Trace Elemental Compositions: End-Cretaceous Mass Extinction Event as an Example

I briefly review paleoenvironmental reconstruction using chemical compositions of trace elements such as chalcophile and siderophile elements. I also introduce the environmental perturbations at the end-Cretaceous mass extinction event as an example for such paleoenvironmental reconstruction.
