水和高分子イオンの構造解析を目的とした低温イオン移動度質量分析計の制作

We have been constructing a low-temperature ion mobility-mass spectrometer (IM-MS) combined with a quadrupole ion trap (QIT) for the purpose of understanding structures of hydrated ions as a microscopic model of ions in solution. Before introducing an ion drift cell for ion mobility spectrometry (IMS), we have optimized experimental conditions of QIT and mass analysis using a sample of methylene blue cation in order to gain sufficient ion intensity for IMS. The QIT enables us to improve duty cycles of electrospray ionization (ESI) source and to accomplish enough ion intensity. We are now planning to install the ion drift cell in this apparatus.
