化学物質曝露評価における定量的メタボロミクスの現状と課題

With the evolution of mass spectrometer in recent years and the development of omics technology, it has become possible to comprehensively analyze metabolites. However, it is still a developing analysis technique and there are many problems to be solved. On the other hand, the importance of quantitative analysis of biological samples in assessment of chemical exposure is gaining attention. The chemical substances that we are exposed to are diversified and it is necessary to develop quantitative analytical techniques with low cost, high throughput. In this presentation, I will outline the current status and problems of quantitative metabolomics using LC/MS and GC/MS. Also, I would like to introduce the mass spectrometry system installed at Gunma University.
