Laser desorption/ionization mass spectrometry for the analysis of compounds adsorbed onto culture device
Carbon nanotubes-coated PDMS film for a culture device was examined for analysis of organic molecules in aqueous solution using laser desorption/ionization (LDI) mass spectrometry. The molecules adsorbed onto surface of the film and were ionizable by LDI in the presence of carbon nanotubes. Hydrophobic compounds were adsorbed sufficiently onto the surface, and easily analyzed without extraction from aqueous solution. Imaging MS was also achieved.
