Unified-HILIC/AEX/MS/MSによる親水性メタボロームとリピドームの同時分析
Metabolomics is a study of a complete set of metabolites including hydrophilic and hydrophobic metabolites in biological samples. However, an ideal analytical method that can simultaneously analyze the polar metabolome and lipidome has not been developed because of the extremely wide range of their physicochemical properties. We have previously reported a unified hydrophilic-interaction/anion-exchange liquid chromatography tandem mass spectrometry (unified-HILIC/AEX/MS/MS) for polar metabolome analysis (Nakatani et al., </I>, 2022) and a lipid class separation-based method using HILIC for lipidome analysis (Takeda et al., </I>, 2018). Here, we report an update of the unified-HILIC/AEX/MS/MS method, which integrates lipidome analysis into the HILIC-dominant phase of the unified-HILIC/AEX separation, allowing simultaneous analysis of polar metabolome and lipidome.
