モリアオガエル泡巣を構成するタンパク質の探索
Some frogs in mountainous areas are known to have a unique mating behavior, producing foam nests and laying their eggs inside them. The foam nests of frogs are thought to function to protect the eggs from desiccation and predators. We carried out a comprehensive analysis of the proteins constituting the foam nests of the endemic Japanese forest green tree frog (Zhangixalus arboreus) employing transcriptomic and proteomic analyses. We report on the identified proteins and their functions.
