緑茶の異なる品種や茶期における抗糖尿病成分プロファイリング
The inhibition of dipeptidyl peptidase (DPP)-IV enzyme is essential for the control of hyperglycemia in diabetes mellitus. It has been reported that green tea (Camellia sinensis L.) possesses DPP-IV inhibitory activity, but no comparison among green tea cultivars or identification of active components has been reported. We have reported that metabolic profiling (MP) technique, which visualizes the potential relationship between the amount of samples and their bioactivity, is effective in assessing the functionality of foods/agricultural products and identifying the components involved in the functionality. However, there are no reports on MP-driven bioactivity evaluation of green tea cultivars related to DPP-IV inhibitory activity. In this study, we examined the DPP-IV inhibitory activity of green tea in different cultivars and crop seasons and found components related to bioactivity using the MP method.
