骨格にパーフルオロアルキル基を導入した有機シリカ膜のレーザー脱離/イオン化 質量分析基板への応用

Simple and rapid screening of agrochemicals greatly contributes to stable food supply and environmental safety. Matrix-free laser desorption/ionization mass spectrometry (LDI-MS) is an effective tool for the high-throughput detection of analytes, especially for low-molecular-weight compounds. In this study, organosilica films where perfluoroalkyl groups were introduced into the naphthalimide moieties were designed for the sensitive detection of sulfonylurea (SU) herbicides by LDI-MS. The hydroxyl groups of the silica moiety of the fabricated films were further capped with a hydrophobic silane coupling agent, yielding to a high density of fluoroalkyl moieties on the film surface. Nanoimprinting was conducted to transfer a nano mold pattern onto the film surface, enabling further improvement of the detection ability of SU herbicides. The detection of 1 fmol μL−1 (nearly 0.0004 ppm) SU herbicides was achieved using a substrate with vertical nanoporous arrays. The applicability of the fabricated hydrophobic substrate was demonstrated by the detection test of SU herbicides using real plants. The SU herbicides were detected in the extracts of hydroponically grown pea sprouts using water containing 0.5 ppm of herbicides.
