質量分析データリポジトリを活用したメタボロミクス研究

The mass spectrometry (MS) data repository stores more than 100 TB (7000 projects) of metabolomics data, with single cell and spatial metabolomics data also increasing. Thus, an approach to comprehensively re-analyze the MS data is an emerging need to characterise the metabolomic cartography of living organisms over their lifespan. Our group has been particularly involved in the development of the reanalysis tool, MS-DIAL, which imports raw MS data and exports metabolomic information. Our recent achievements include the development of annotation algorithms for product ion spectra obtained by new fragmentation methods such as electron activated dissociation and oxygen attachment dissociation. Furthermore, it can handle imaging MS data, and the coverage of lipid profiling is still increasing by improving MS/MS spectrum curation in lipidomics. In this talk, the update of our MS-DIAL program will be presented, and the showcases of metabolomics data reanalysis will also be highlighted, which will contribute to the development of a metabolome cartography database in the future.
