Energy-resolved MSⁿassisted identification of positional isomers of serotonin detected from a cnidarian extract. Single shot MS² spectra are often identical among structural analogues, however break-down curves describing dissociation characters distinguish possible -OH positions on an indole ring. Once relationships between structural details and possible reactions were elucidated, they would be worth to be subjected to data mining.
