Proteomics has been emerged in late 1980s and markedly advanced through 1990s and 2000s. Currently it is very common to see reports using proteomics in prestigious biology or medical journals. We have tried to leverage this valuable technology into the process of drug discovery and development for more than 20 years. Here, we will present several examples of proteomics applications in pharmaceutical industry; especially focusing on target molecule identification from phenotypic screening. We will review current technologies and also present our recent experience and development of the new version of proteomic correlation profiling technology.
