Analysis of Impurities of Therapeutic Oligonucleotides via LC/TOF-MS

Oligonucleotides are chemically synthesized compounds and have recently attracted attention as a “new modality”. Due to the large molecular weight of oligonucleotides, TOF/MS is used for the analysis because of its wide mass range, but analysis of impurities is considered as a bottleneck for automation. We show that several split impurities are detected in degradated sample of 21mer using by LC/TOF-MS and Oligosearch software.
