Search for Chemorepellent of Slime Mold Using DIUTHAME-SALDI-IMS Method
Slime molds are known to take evasive actions when different species of slime molds approach each other. In general, the avoidance behavior is caused by a chemorepellant. In this study, we investigated the structure of chemorepellent of slime mold using DIUTHAME-SALDI-IMS. As a result, it was found that chemorepellent of Physarum rigidum is caffeic acid.
