Coenzyme Q10 is known to coenzyme which involved with production of energy and resist to oxidation. It is better to dietary such as supplement because we will be difficult to make it ourselves for getting older. Coenzyme Q10 has two type, oxidation and reduction, but is also called to Ubiquinol which works in body as reduction type. Recently, it shows medical utility for brain and nerve. We used an imaging mass spectrometry method to evaluate the localization of coenzyme Q10 in mouse brain. The present study employed IMS method to analyze location of substance. In this way, we repeat to analyze surface of slice and observe on two-dimensional image. It makes an image the location by treating substance, MS signal and laser irradiation point using a computer.
The good point of this way is able to analyze some substances in without an antibody and a fluorescent material.
