It is important to understand an evolved gas behavior from the industrial materials for the development of better products. In general, those evolved gasses are measured by a variety of methods. In such case, some samples need column separation to determine those amounts, but other samples should be monitored along with physical parameter such as heating temperature without column separation. Although the special equipments dedicated to the certain purpose are commercially available, it is difficult to cover such multi-purpose by using single simple system. In this study, we measured low molecular weight gas compounds including hydrogen by using conventional GC-quadrupole mass spectrometer (QMS) with and without chromatographic separation for two different purposes.
