The sub-micron scale in-situ U-Pb chronology is a powerful tool to reveal the formation processes of the Solar System. We have been developing a Sputtered Neutral Mass Spectrometer(SNMS) with a femto-second laser, to measure the precise isotopic composition of natural samples. In this study, we have introduced a new detection system, Ion Counting methods, and tried to improve SNMS measurement.Consequently, the signal of 204Pb from natural zircon was detected significantly.
