Mass spectrometry imaging of vapor surface-assisted laser desorption/ionization using silver/platinum alloy

The effectiveness of platinum vapor deposition surface-assisted laser desorption/ionization (Pt-SALDI) has been reported for analysis of synthetic polymers, additives, peptides and drugs. In this study, specific ions which are detected by Ag-SALDI and Pt-SALDI were able to detect simultaneously using Ag/Pt alloy SALDI. The optimized conditions of Ag/Pt mixing ratio were determined using ink-jet-color printed OHP sheets and copy papers.
