Trans-Omics analysis of yeast central metabolism using mass spectrometry

In order to investigate a regulation mechanism behind the fast fermentation ability of yeast, metabolome, proteome and fluxome data were obtained from 11 single gene deletion strains of S. cerevisiae. The trans omics data revealed that enolase is a metabolic bottleneck in gcr2Δ strain and should be an regulation point for the fast fermentation ability of yeast.
