13C-Metabolic flux analysis of metabolic inhibitor-treated MCF-7 cells

Metabolic flux shifts in the metabolic inhibitor treated MCF-7 cells (human breast cancer) were investigated by the 13C metabolic flux analysis (13C MFA). Metabolic flux distributions estimated by 13C MFA suggested that a treatment of rotenone, a potent inhibitor of complex I, activated the reductive glutamine metabolism.
