Targeted proteome analysis for cyanobacterial photosynthetic apparatus

The targeted proteomics was employed for an expression analysis photosystem-related proteins in Synechocystis sp. PCC 6803 (PCC 6803). An MRM (Multiple Reaction Monitoring) assay method of 67 photosystem-related proteins was developed by the nano LC-MS/MS (LC; LC-20ADnano, MS; LCMS-8040) analysis of the tryptic peptides of PCC 6803. The analysis of PCC 6803 cultured in autotrophic, mixotrophic and heterotrophic conditions revealed that the lowest expression levels were observed for 52 proteins in the mixotrophic condition.
