Characterization of perfluoroalkyl group modified polyol by using comprehensive 2D LC and MALDI/TOFMS

Separation analysis on both end group and molar mass distribution of perfluoroalkyl (Rf) group modified polyol has been examined by comprehensive two dimensional liquid chromatography (2D LC). The eluted components have been well characterized by high resolution MALDI/TOFMS. The 2D LC method was optimized under the condition of Rf modified polyethyleneglycol (PEG) standard polymer, then the method was applied to practical polyol sample that has various types of end group structure.
