The ions of possible mutagen produced from 3-methyl-4-nitrophenol through chlorination were picked up among the ions observed with a UPLC-ESI-TOFMS. The observed ions were evaluated with Progenesis QI V2.0, PLS_Toolbox 7.9.3 and SPSS Statistics 23. As the result of the evaluation, m/z393.0541 and m/z 347.9964 were suspected as mutagens. From the isotopologue patterns it was obvious that m/z393.0541 has a chlorine atom and m/z393.0541 has three chlorine atoms in their molecules.
