In-situ isotopic analysis is a powerful tool for understanding the formation and evolution of the solar system. To accomplish a higher spacial resolution analysis (< 1 μm), we have developed a Secondary Neutrals Mass Spectrometer (SNMS) with a femto-second laser. The performance evaluation of SNMS with a lead sample demonstrated that the post-ionization of the neutrals sputtered by the focused ion beam makes the secondary ion yields more than 10,000 times higher.
