Optimization of platinum vapor deposition Surface-Assisted Laser Desorption/Ionization method for imaging mass spectrometry

The effectiveness of platinum vapor deposition surface-assisted laser desorption/ionization (Pt-SALDI) was studied for analyses of synthetic polymers, additives, peptides, hormones, oligosaccharides and drugs. The optimized conditions of the Ar gas pressure in sputtering and the thickness of Pt film on the samples were determined. Imaging MS was performed using the Pt-SALDI.
