In de-phosphorization process of steelmaking, a multi-phase flux, which contains solidus and liquids phases, is used. Phosphorus is enriched in the solidus phase based on (CaO)3P2O5-(CaO)2SiO2 oxide. It is important to know thermodynamic properties of P2O5 in this phase to design an efficient process. Then, the activity of P2O5 in (CaO)3P2O5-(CaO)2SiO2 oxide are estimated using Knudsen cell mass spectrometry.
