Molten salt reactors (MSR) use the molten salt as coolant. The advantages of MSRs are the impossibility of melt down since fuel were dissolved into the molten salt, moreover the supplementation of the fresh fuel and purification of the molten salt online. However, the MSR behavior which occurred severe accident was not investigated. In this study, the kind or quantity of volatile species from “FLiNaK salt – CsI systems” were investigated for instructing the source term of radioactive nuclear fission products at sever accident.
