Glutathione hydropersulfide (GSSH) is a highly reactive nucleophile, and easily converted into Glutathione-S-sulfonate (GSSO3H) through atmospheric MALDI ionization. By detecting GSSO3- in atmospheric pressure MALDI imaging mass spectrometry, we revealed the accumulation of GSSH in human colon cancer region of tumor-metastasizing liver of superimmunodeficient NOG mice.
