Nano-particle assisted laser desorption/ionization (Nano-PALDI) method could ionize target molecules such as drug, peptide and peptide without no background at low molecular region. However, nanoparticles showed low ionization ability of high molecule. To improve this problem, in this time, we developed synaptic acid-modified nanoparticle (SA-NP). The amino group of nanoparticle surface and carboxy group of SA condensed to form amide bond. The obtained SA-NP could improve the ionization of insulin protein and pesticide as low molecular compound. Thus, SA-NP was enabling to ionize target molecules with wide range by Nano-PALDI mass spectrometry.
