Evaluation of the Family Based on the Analysis of Essential Oils and Pungent Components in Ginger Rhizomes Produced in Kochi
We demonstrated the evaluation of the family based on the analysis of essential oils and pungent components in ginger rhizomes produced in Kochi using gas chromatography/mass spectrometry (GC/MS) and a reversed-phase separation mode and an electrospray ionization mode of the liquid chromatography/mass spectrometry (LC/MS). As a result of the analysis of them in our many kinds of gingers, SKT-5 (named by us) was evaluated as a new family of gingers, Zingiber offcinale Roscoe.
