We analyzed localization of methyl 2-octynate (2-OAm). 2-OAm (Mw: 154) is one of the xenobiotics that are used as additive substance of cosmetics. In this research, we investigated whether 2-OAm is delivered to the organ through percutaneous or not by nano-particle assisted laser desorption/ionization (Nano-PALDI) MS imaging. Nano-PALDI method enable to ionize and analyze small molecule without background compared with conventional method. 2-OAm was applied to once a day to mice body for 18 weeks. We revealed the localization of 2-OAm of liver under diverse conditions, visually. 2-OA accumulated at bile duct of liver with time.
