Dried-droplet sample preparation has been widely used, but inhomogeneous crystallization process of sample solution often makes an unsuccessful analysis regarding quantitation and reproducibility. To overcome the problems we developed a new plate equipped with ordered structures of laser-adsorbing organic groups using periodic mesoporous organosilica thin layer. Only sample solution containing peptides or glycopeptides is put on the plate and then measured by a MALDI-TOF MS apparatus. Therefore, the method is very simple and dose not depend on skills.
