Biological specimens contain diverse cells differentiated from identical genetic information. Bulk-sample analysis of general biomolecules yield numerous valuable results. However, the cells are heterogeneous even in the same circumstances, and the results of the analysis are more or less averaged. Our method involving mass spectrometry (MS) can detect various small molecules in a single cell. However, peptides and proteins are less sensitive to be detected. Here, we report in a tip pretreatment method which is under development for a simple and highly sensitive peptide identification method.
