Dependence of Chirality on the Stability of the Complex Ion Consisting of Chiral Tetradentate Ligand, Cupper(II), and Amino Acid in the Gas Phase
The stability of the complex ion, [CuIILn (AA −H)]+, in the gas phase was examined on the basis of the decomposition behaviors for the collision activation time in the ion trap. The product ions were [CuIL1]+ for the precursor ion [CuIIL1 (AA −H)]+ and [CuII(L2 −H)]+ for [CuIIL2 (AA −H)]+.The logarithm values of the relative peak intensity of the product ion for the precursor ion showed good linear relationships for the activation time. The kinetic constant (k) values were calculated on the slope.
