Short Abstract: Vaporization behavior of LiF-LiI was investigated. LiF is one of the substances which constitute a medium used for the molten salt reactor. In this study, vaporization behavior of LiF and LiI, which is one of the main fission products released into atmosphere, was investigated. Gas species, Li+, Li2F+, I+, LiI+,
Li2I+ and I2+ , was observed from LiF-LiI mixed molten salts. It is shown that the iodine separation may be separated from molten salt fuel by distillation.
