A new tandem time-of-flight (TOF) mass spectrometer has been designed and is being constructed. It consists of an electrospray ion source, an orthogonal acceleration, a MULTUM TOF spectrometer, a collision cell which can be filled with an alkali metal target, and a quadratic-field ion mirror.
