SYNAPT G2-Si combines the unique power of TriWave (T-Wave) Ion Mobility Separations with new data acquisition and informatics technologies, and collision cross section (CCS) measurements to bring to the toughest analytical applications, unparalleled information and confidence at a level not possible by mass and chromatographic separations. I shall introduce a recent study focused on the anthraquinone glucosides in rhubarbs as the first model to establish a new strategy for the identification of isomeric phytochemicals using LC-IMS-MS. This is a first trial to elucidate the structure of isomeric phytochemicals in crude drugs using LC-IMS-MS. Although more improvement is necessary, this application demonstrates the potential to facilitate the structure identification of isomeric phytochemicals in natural products.
