光解離分光とイオン移動度質量分析による超原子価5配位炭素化合物の構造評価
Structures of chemically-synthesized hypervalent penta-coordinated carbon compounds were investigated in the gas phase. Photodissociation spectroscopy (PDS) and ion mobility mass spectrometry (IMMS) revealed coexistence of two isomers, especially for p-(methylthio)phenyl-ligated compound. One isomer exhibited strong light absorption at visible region (~580 nm), which is characteristic to penta-coordinated (hypervalent) structure. On the other hand, only tetra-coordinated one is present in a single crystal (solid state). This study shows the essential role of environment for the stability of the hypervalent structure.
