LDI-MS Imaging of Stabilizers in Polymer Materials Using Desorption Ionization Using Through Hole Alumina MEmbrane (DIUTHAME)
LDI-MS imaging using Desorption Ionization Using Through Hole Alumina Membrane (DIUTHAME) was applied to the analysis of stabilizers in polymer materials. In this technique, matrix application is not necessary, which often causes artificial distribution in the observed MS image. A piece of DIUTHAME was placed on the polypropylene (PP) sheet containing an oligomeric hindered amine light stabilizers (HALS), methanol was sprayed on DIUTHAME as an extracting solvent, and then subjected to LDI-MS imaging. The observed MS image clearly reflect the presence of HALS on the PP sheet samples.
