Utilization of Mass Spectrometers in the Safety Research

In the nonclinical study, TK analysis is mainly performed by using LC-MS. Pretreatments used in the TK analysis are being simplified with the improvement in the sensitivity of MS. The number of samples to be measured is large, therefore automations, such as pretreatments, has been carried out. In addition, in order to elucidate the mechanism of toxicity, samples other than plasma need to be measured, and it is necessary to construct a new analytical method for the samples as soon as possible. In this presentation, we will introduce the analysis examples with mass spectrometers, focusing on the TK analysis, in the safety research.
