Electron ionization (EI) method, which is often used in gas chromatograph mass spectrometry, is one of ionization methods for generating fragment ions, and the compound can be identified by comparing with the mass spectrum library. On the other hand, Field ionization (FI) method is a soft ionization method, the generation of fragment ions is suppressed to the minimum and information on molecular ions can be obtained. In the EI method library search, only integer mass information is used, but gas chromatograph time-of-flight mass spectrometer can obtain accurate mass information of fragment ion of EI method and molecular ion of FI method. By integrating the accurate mass information, the identification accuracy can be improved more than in the case of using only the library search of the conventional EI method. In this report, we report the analysis procedure to automatically integrate both EI method and FI method and software to process it.
