Investigation of ionization by soft X-ray superimposed ESI

Althogh an ESI is most popular ionization technique for LC/MS,it sometimes indicates poor ionization efficiency for low poller compounds. We developed a new ionization technique by a soft X-ray superimposed ESI to solve this plobrem. The performance was demonstrated of our new ionization technique by analysis of low polar compounds such as 1,2-benzanthraquinone. The intensity of [M+H]⁺ of 1,2-benzanthraquinone was improved by superimposed of a soft X-ray compare to a conventional ESI.
