Epimetabolite is defined as a metabolite removed from its canonical function in anabolism or catabolism by enzyme errors or chemical damage, and these epimetabolites could play an important role as a physiological function in inflammation, insulin sensitivity, and so on. Untargeted metabolomics using mass spectrometry and fruitful informatics programs discovers five epimetabolites, and it will be discussed in this conference.
