リチウムイオン電池電解液分解生成物のLC/MSおよびASAP-MSによる同定と生成機構

Improvement of lithium ion batteries (LIBs) in their performance and robustness requires a good understanding of the reaction processes. The degradation products in the LIB electrolytes recovered from cycle tested cells were analyzed by LC/MS. For the identification of the degradation products on the surface of electrode, atmospheric solid analysis probe (ASAP)-MS was used. The degradation products, carbonate oligomers and organophosphates were identified simultaneously by LC/MS. The difference in their formation at different temperatures can be explained by their estimated formation mechanisms. One compound was found on the anode surface by ASAP-MS and its formation mechanism was explained similarly to the degradation mechanisms of the electrolyte. Further investigation of the degradation products in LIBs by LC/MS and ASAP-MS will be helpful for studying their degradation processes.
