大気圧赤外レーザーイオン化法の検出感度向上に向けた、四重極飛行時間型質量分析計とレーザーパルスの同期
Membrane proteins are focused in the fields of proteomics, new drug development, etc. Though electrospray ionization (ESI) is used for ionization in liquid chromatography/mass spectrometry (LC/MS) analysis of biomolecules including proteins, a surfactant used to dissolve membrane proteins reduces ionization efficiency of ESI1), and it has been difficult to analyze membrane proteins with LC/MS. A continuous flow infrared laser atmospheric pressure ionization source has been developed to overcome this limitation. However, the detection sensitivity has been too low for practical analysis. Therefore, it was attempted to improve the sensitivity by synchronizing a quadrupole time-of-flight (Q-TOF) mass spectrometer and laser pulses. As the result, signal intensity was improved about three times compared with that without synchronization.
