EI法及びPI法を用いた反応熱分解GC/MSによる高分子材料の分解生成物の解析

Characterization of thermal degradation product of terephtalate polybuthylene (PBT) has been studied. In pyrogram of PBT thermally treated at 180℃, some peaks changed in intensity depended on the treatment time were observed. Based on the mass spectra obtained by electronicionization(EI) method and photoionization(PI) method, these peaks assigned to the methylated products of decomposed anti-oxidant, reflecting a biphenyl-type cross-linking structure and acid anhydride. The peak of anti-oxidant component disappear in the primary degradation step and after that, the other components appeared prominently. It suggested that the rapid oxidation degradation progressed in a polymer by disappearance of anti-oxidant. This trend seems to relate to the change of material property.
